Is it expensive to shop with you?

We want to make eating good quality food accessible to more people, so we always do our best to keep our prices competitive. We monitor what the big supermarkets and other Zero Waste stores are charging, and make sure our prices are kept as low as possible.

We also pass on the savings from buying in bulk, so the more  you buy, the more you’ll save, too

Did you know in the average £50 shop at a supermarket. £8 is for packaging alone? By cutting out nasty plastics we reduce the cost if your shopping with us.

What else do you do for the planet, huh?

We support local homeless people by donating food to Outreach Services.

10% of our annual profits are donated to charitable and community projects. Charities, community organisations and groups can apply to us to support their work.

Projects can be anything that supports, or benefits people or the environment in need. If it enhances the lives of people in need, or the health of our planet, we want to contribute.

Look out for details on our website and social media, or sign up for our updates, where we will invite applications to our fund.

check our Community page for more details.

What are your green credentials?

We buy in bulk to reduce the use of plastic in getting food from our organic producers to your table.

All of our products come without the nasty plastic packaging, which not only helps Mother Nature, but is also better for the quality of your food, and your wallet, as you are not paying for packaging.

Our next step is to make deliveries in a shiny new 100% electric vehicles. So there are no Co2 emissions getting your order from our warehouse to you.

We Reuse, Recycle and Repurpose all of the packaging we cones to us.

When we can’t reuse an item, we will repurpose, and only when we can no longer reuse or repurpose, do we recycle.

This helps reduce waste and energy consumption used in recycling, as much as possible.

The packaging we use to send your loose items is either recycled, or made from a sustainable source. Supporting the latter is important as carbon dioxide levels are reduced with the growing of sustainably sourced trees used.

Our heavy duty Environmentally-friendly delivery boxes are developed in conjunction with WRAP, the Waste and Resources Action Programme, they offer a sustainable and reliable alternative to larger double wall boxes with the following unique features:

  • Increased strength over most double wall boxes
  • Materials used are 7% lighter, meaning lower transport costs
  • The process of manufacturing our box results in a 30% saving in CO2 emissions

Recycled content ranges from 60% to 90%

We are always learning, and seeking to be more and more environmentally-friendly in all that we do, and all that we offer our customers. So, if you have any green suggestions for us, we would love to hear them. Click me!
